How VTA can help trucking community?
The Virginia Trucking Association (VTA) is a statewide, non-profit association of
trucking companies, private fleet operators, industry suppliers, and other firms
and individuals interested in the well-being of motor freight transportation at
the local, state and national level. The VTA is the only organization in Virginia
that provides full-time service and representation for trucking fleets operating
in and through the Commonwealth.
To that end, the VTA:
- Serves and represents the interests of Virginia’s trucking industry;
- Provides advocacy for trucking’s interests at all levels of government
- Advances the trucking industry’s image, efficiency, competitiveness and profitability;
- Provides educational programs;
- Promotes highway and driver safety and security; and
- Works for a healthy business environment.
The VTA staff has decades of experience in trucking laws and regulations and has oftentimes been involved in the drafting of the state's trucking laws and regulations. Our comprehensive capabilities can provide you with a single-source answer to all your regulatory and compliance questions.
With its years of experience, the VTA staff has developed long-standing professional alliances with state and federal regulatory agencies, including the Department of Motor Vehicles, the State Police, the Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
